Sauce Gardner to create ‘Sauce sauce’ with Buffalo Wild Wings
Sauce making sauce. Sounds like a perfect pairing, doesn’t it? Well, that’s exactly what Jets CB Sauce Gardner is doing.
Gardner will partner with Buffalo Wild Wings to create a smokey, sweet and spicy BBQ sauce aptly named “Sauce sauce”. The sauce will debut August 31.
“I have always known that everything is better with sauce, so who better to develop my own flavor than the sauce experts at Buffalo Wild Wings,” said Gardner. “Nothing says football like wings covered in your favorite sauce. I am excited to launch my own signature ‘Sauce Sauce’ just in time for the season kickoff.”
Gardner will hold a “Signed with Sauce” on September 1 at Buffalo Wild Wings in Wayne, N.J. (1400 Willowbrook Mall, Wayne, NJ).
From the press release: “Fans who show their Blazin’ Rewards membership will be admitted between 7:30-9:30 p.m. on a first come, first-serve basis for a chance to meet “Sauce” Gardner and get his autograph in sauce as well as other one-of-a-kind collectibles.”
Gardner spoke with Jets Wire and talked a little bit about his new partnership.
“I feel like it was just a natural combination,” Gardner told Jets Wire. “They truly value sauce and I do as well. My name’s Sauce, I feel like I could be the best in the NFL one day and Buffalo Wild Wings, they already the best in the game right now. I feel like it was natural. I grew up always going to Buffalo Wild Wings, like high school with my high school teammates, always watching football and eating their food so I wouldn’t want it to be anywhere else but at Buffalo Wild Wings. And my sauce, it’s a smoky, sweet and spicy barbecue. I’m a huge barbecue guy, but I also like some type of spice so I feel like it’s the perfect ideal sauce.”
Sauce will be cooking both on and off the field now.
