STONY BROOK, N.Y. – Junior quarterback Max Brosmer completed 28 of 40 passes for 335 yards and four touchdowns and senior Dylan Laube had two touchdowns to lead the University of New Hampshire football team to a 45-14 win Saturday over Stony Brook at LaValle Stadium.

With its second straight win, UNH improved to 4-3 overall and 2-2 in the CAA. Stony Brook slipped to 0-7, 0-5 CAA. Brosmer threw touchdowns to four separate receivers and distributed the ball to nine receivers overall while playing turnover-free football. He added a rushing score on a fake field goal. Laube, the nation's leader in all-purpose yards, totaled a game-high 149. He was the Wildcats' top ground-gainer (42 yards on 15 rushes) and secured a team-high seven receptions for 57 yards. He scored on a 23-yard reception and a seven-yard rush.

Sophomore Joey Corcoran led a balanced receiving corps with four catches for 76 yards and a touchdown. Sophomore Caleb Burke tallied 75 receiving yards and a TD on five receptions.The Wildcats visit the University of Rhode Island (4-4, 2-3) on Saturday. The Wildcats will then host Villanova on Saturday, November 4.

LeClerc nets OT game-winner for UNH men's hockey

DURHAM – Sophomore forward Cy LeClerc scored the overtime game-winning goal as the University of New Hampshire men's hockey team defeated No. 4 Quinnipiac, 5-4, on Saturday in the Whittemore Center at Key Auto Group Complex.

The game-winner was LeClerc’s first of the season and the third of his career.

LeClerc scored two goals on the night, while junior defensemen Colton Huard posted three points on one goal and two assists. It was the third time in his career that LeClerc has scored two goals.

With the win, the Wildcats improve to 2-1-0, while the Bobcats fall to 3-2-0. This is UNH’s second win over a nationally ranked opponent this season as the Wildcats defeated No. 1 Boston University, 6-4, on Oct. 13.

The Wildcats return to action on Thursday against No. 16 Northeastern on Thursday, Oct. 26, at the Whittemore Center.

Men's soccer beats NJIT, 2-1

DURHAM – Atila Ashrafi and Eli Goldman each scored a goal as the No. 19 University of New Hampshire men's soccer team defeated NJIT, 2-1, on Saturday night at Wildcat Stadium.

The Wildcats improve to 9-1-4 (2-0-3 AE), while the Highlanders drop to 5-7-3 (2-2-1 AE)

UNH plays at UMass-Lowell Thursday at 7 p.m.
