The Rush: A superstar arrives on day one of March Madness

WATCH THE VIDEO ABOVE to see today’s piping-hot, fresh-outta-the-oven episode of THE RUSH! We’ll let you know everything you didn’t know you needed to know about sports. Other stuff too. But mostly sports.

It’s Friday, March 22, 2019, and with Jared out, here’s what The Rush team is cooking up:

  • In the best performance of the tournament’s first day, Murray State’s Ja Morant notched a triple double to help take down Marquette. It was the first triple double in the tournament since Draymond Green’s in 2012

  • Michigan State survived against Bradley, but that didn’t stop coach Tom Izzo berating a player on his own team at the end of a 10-0 run.

  • Meanwhile across the world, the Male Slapping Championships were playing out in Krasnoyarsk, Russia. That’s where Vasilly Kamotskiy took home the top price for showing the most skill at slapping his countrymen upside the heads.
