The Rush: Jake Paul vs. Tyron Woodley already has fireworks

Tennessee Titans quarterback Ryan Tannehill has hit the COVID-19 list days after head coach Mike Vrabel tested positive, the Pac-12 announced it’s staying at 12 teams for the foreseeable future, and the fight between Logan Paul vs. Tyron Woodley already has some early fireworks after a press conference on Thursday.

TYRON WOODLEY: One thing I don't do is disrespect. And when disrespect comes to my mother, it's a whole issue. [BLEEP] his money [BLEEP] his back, [BLEEP] every [INAUDIBLE] [BLEEP]. When it comes to that, it-- it will not be tolerated.

[SWOOSH]

JARED QUAY: Oh boy. The fireworks for Sunday night's bout between Jake Paul and Tyron Woodley have already begun. And we'll get to that. But first, the Tennessee Titans have placed quarterback Ryan Tannehill on the COVID-19 list.

He's the fifth Titan on the list. And it comes just days after head coach Mike Vrabel tested positive.

- Uh oh.

JARED QUAY: Hopefully it won't be too bad, because Tannehill is vaccinated. And he says he's feeling OK at the moment.

- Thank God.

JARED QUAY: But you know who should be worried? Looking at you, Tom Brady. We've got to initiate the COVID cage. College football's been all kinds of shifty lately.

But the Pac 12 is staying at 12 teams. For those of you living under a rock, Texas and Oklahoma are ditching the Big 12 in 2025 and joining SEC, which leaves the Big 12 at only eight teams. How'd that add up? One--

It's possible other teams will be looking to jump ship from the Big 12. But with this new announcement from the Pac 12, they won't be taking any newcomers.

- We are all done taking auditions.

JARED QUAY: Now I can't tell you what these conferences are going to look like when all is said and done. Because I'm not no Nostradamus.

- Nostradamus, the man who saw the future.

JARED QUAY: But it's just wrong for a conference to call itself the Big 12 and only have eight teams. Maybe they should call themself the little 12. The less than 12, that's better. All right now, back to the fight.

[DING]

- Round one, fight.

JARED QUAY: We all know that MMA fighter Tyron Woodley will be taken on YouTube with Jake Paul on Sunday night. And it looks like the two camps just started to get the rumbling just a few days early.

[INTERPOSING VOICES]

- [INAUDIBLE]

JARED QUAY: Apparently, a member of Paul's team decided to start talking smack to Tyron Woodley's mom.

- Don't be talking about my mama!

JARED QUAY: Now most people know that moms are almost universally considered off limits.

- Don't be talking about my mama, son.

JARED QUAY: Now we're not sure what was said to Tyron's mom.

- What were they saying to your mom?

TYRON WOODLEY: Don't matter. They shouldn't said nothing. They shouldn't ask what's two times two.

JARED QUAY: But I do know, if Woodley needed any more motivation for his fight on Sunday, [LAUGHING] he just found it. You know who else's mama you probably don't want to talk about? Myles Garrett's. Apparently, Myles Garrett and Jake Paul have been getting into it on Twitter.

I'm not saying this fight is going to happen. But if it is happening, go ahead and empty my 401k, empty my bank account. Hey, I'm going to borrow money from my brother. Because I'm putting everything I've got on Myles Garrett.
