The Rush: Aces win championship, NFL sees crazy comebacks and Tom Brady throws a tantrum

The Las Vegas Aces defeated the Connecticut Sun in Game 4 of the WNBA Finals to claim their first WNBA Championship. Chelsea Gray was named Finals MVP while Becky Hammon became the first rookie head coach to win a title in league history. Week Two in the NFL was bonkers as the Cardinals, Dolphins, and Jets all pulled off crazy comebacks, while the Bengals suffered a heartbreaking loss to the Cowboys. Plus, Tom Brady threw a tantrum (and a tablet!) on the sideline and was also near the center of a brawl between the Bucs and Saints.

MINTY BETS: Week two of the NFL season was certainly an adventure, and we'll get to that. But first, we got to talk about my hometown Las Vegas Aces.

The Aces called sunset on the Connecticut Sun season with a game four victory in the WNBA Finals.

- Williams lets it fly, can hit. Wilson, the rebound. And this season has come up Aces! The city of Las Vegas has its first major professional title.

MINTY BETS: Chelsea Gray led the way for Las Vegas with 20 points and 6 assists. The Aces point guard was a force throughout the Finals. And for her efforts she earned herself the Finals MVP award.

- One player stood out, averaging 18 points a game during the finals, six assists, amazing point guard play, Las Vegas Aces MVP, Chelsea Gray!

MINTY BETS: Head coach Becky Hammond becomes the first rookie head coach to win a championship in league history. And this is the first championship for the Aces franchise.

Perhaps most importantly, it's the first major championship for a professional Las Vegas team.

Hey! Hey!

As a Vegas resident, I too will claim this championship. I'd like to thank my--

Even though it's only week two, there was plenty of celebration-worthy football on Sunday. The Ravens look to be flying high against the Dolphins, taking a 21-point lead into the fourth quarter, until Tua Tagovailoa threw four of his six touchdowns to lead Miami to the improbable 42-38 victory.

Anyone who says Joe Flacco isn't elite, didn't see the Jets crazy comeback against the Browns. He tossed two touchdowns in 60 seconds on each side of a recovered onside kick with under two minutes left to give New York a 31-20 win.

MINTY BETS: What did you just say?

[CHEERING]

The poor Super Bowl losing Bengals can't catch a break, losing for the second week in a row on the last play of the game. This week it was a Cowboys field goal that's leaving Cincy feeling blue.

And we're not finished with the crazy endings. Oh no, because the Cardinals were down 16 in the fourth quarter to the Vegas Raiders. And you guessed it, two touchdowns and two successful 2-point conversions later, the game went into overtime.

The Raiders were driving, looking to get into position for that game-winning field goal. But a fumble recovery by the Cards returned for a touchdown completed yet another epic comeback.

- Are we done?

MINTY BETS: Almost. Our work wouldn't be complete if we didn't mention Tom Brady and the Bucs. Brady was seen on the sideline throwing one of those temper tantrums of his, which included a tablet toss.

- Giant man baby.

MINTY BETS: Then he was at the middle of a brawl that saw his star receiver Mike Evans and Saints cornerback Marshon Lattimore get ejected. But the Bucs did get the 20-10 dub over a banged up Jameis Winston and the Saints.

I will say Saints bettors can probably relate to Brady's frustration, since the game was tied at 3 for three quarters. Seriously, do you know how many household items get broken around here when bets go wrong? None, actually, because I'm not a child. But you get the point.
