Rumored Bills target DeAndre Hopkins is a free agent

The DeAndre Hopkins to the Buffalo Bills rumors just took an unexpected turn.

Hopkins has been released by the Arizona Cardinals.

Hopkins, a first-round pick of the Houston Texans in 2013, played there until he was traded to the Arizona Cardinals in 2020.

After some up-and-down years there with injury involved, Hopkins requested and was seeking a trade.

Evidently he couldn’t find a partner for the Cards since he’s now been released.

The Bills have been one of the teams connected to Hopkins. Some of that has to do with the work of others like Von Miller, who has said Hopkins wants to be a Bill.

Other times, it’s things Hopkins says himself and that is the latest chapter in the Hopkins-to-Buffalo saga.

Most recently, during an interview with the I AM ATHLETE podcast, Hopkins was asked what quarterback he would like to catch passes from. The first name out of him? Bills quarterback Josh Allen.

Things are now set to get a whole lot more interesting in the rumor mill with Hopkins becoming a free agent.
