Roundup: Chillicothe Paints surge past Thrillville Thrillbillies

Chillicothe Paints 5, Thrillville Thrillbillies 1: The Paints picked up the second win of their recent road trip after taking down the Thrillbillies in Marion, Illinois, on Thursday night. Both the Paints and Thrillbillies scored a run by the end of the first inning, but the deadlock didn't last. The Paints scored two runs in both the fifth and seventh innings to assume the lead while the Thrillbillies were shut out for the remainder of the game.

Dylan Dudones got the win on the mound for the Paints. Dudones pitched six complete innings, during which he gave up one earned run off of five hits and struck out five along the way. Tyler Mendez closed out the final three innings, and he gave up just two hits while striking out three.

Tyler Shaneyfelt went 3-for-4 with three runs and two stolen bases on Thursday. Arturo Disla went 2-for-3 with a home run, four RBIs, a run and a walk, while Victor Figueroa went 2-for-4 with an RBI. Sammy Stoner went 2-for-4, and Gavin Ganun hit a double. Drew Donaldson also recorded a hit in the win as well.

Pickerington Post 283 12, Post 142 Shockers 2: The Shockers suffered a loss to Pickerington Post 283 in the first day of the 726 Columbus Classic at Pickerington Central High School on Thursday afternoon. Mason Roberts pitched four innings for the Shockers, during which he gave up eight earned runs and tallied a strikeout. Roberts also recorded a hit while at the plate.

Grayson Roberts and Trevor Fike each batted in a run, while Peyton Harris and Tanner Nichols both scored a run. Nichols also went 1-for-1 on the day, while Rowdy Watkins and Ashton Cormany each tacked on a hit.
