What time does the Rolex 24 at Daytona start? A look at Saturday's schedule

The starting grid for the 62nd running of the Rolex 24 at Daytona was determined on Sunday and after a couple of days off, the countdown to the twice-round-the-clock international racing opener can begin.

Cars officially hit the track again at 1:45 p.m. on Wednesday with the first practice in the Mazda MX-5 Cup. There will be two Mazda races this week, one starting at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday and the other at 10:15 on Friday morning.

Thursday brings a full day of racing with the WeatherTech Championship cars hitting the track for a practice at 11:05 a.m. with qualifying for the Michelin Pilot Challenge starting at 2:25 in the afternoon. The event will headline Friday's schedule, with the four-hour race slated for a 1:45 p.m. green flag.

It all leads up to the start of the Rolex 24 at 1:40 p.m. on Saturday.
