Roger Bacon hires former St. Xavier, Wilmington coach to lead boys basketball team
Roger Bacon has hired Mike Noszka as the Spartans' newest boys basketball coach.
"Mike has been a proven winner for over 26 years as a varsity basketball coach. Coach Noszka also has familiarity with the Cincinnati Basketball landscape as he spent four seasons at St. Xavier High School," athletics director Steve Rossi said in a statement.
Noszka guided the Bombers to a 58-32 record in four seasons and won a district championship in 2021. He previously coached at Wabash High School in Indiana, and at Wilmington High School, where he led the Hurricane to a 27-2 record and the Division II state semifinal in 2016.
He takes over for Grayson Rhoades, who finished with a 16-30 (15-9 MVC) record in two seasons.
