Rodney McLeod’s endzone interception clinches Eagles comeback win over Washington

The Eagles needed some help making the playoffs on Sunday, and if the team does in fact make the postseason, thank you notes will start with Rodney McLeod.

After fighting back from an early 10-0 deficit, Philadelphia was able to clamp down on defense, escaping with a 20-16 win at FedEx Field.

The win moved the Eagles to 9-7 and on the brink of clinching a playoff berth after McLeod made a diving interception of a Taylor Heinicke pass in the end zone with Washington needing to score a touchdown at the end of the game to win.

Philadelphia will now look towards a Week 18 showdown with Dallas.
