Here is the Rockford Register Star's Athlete of the Week winner for May 6-11

Hononegah's Ian Blankenship hung on to edge Harlem's Alaina Schwanke in another close battle in our poll, this time for the Rockford Register Star's high school Athlete of the Week for May 6-11.

Blankenship held Boylan to one hit through six innings to lead Hononegah to an 8-1 victory in the late-season NIC-10 battle. Blankenship then earned 27.35 percent of the votes last week, while Schwanke earned 27.16 percent. They were both well ahead of anyone else in this week's poll.

Other nominees were: Lena-Winslow's Rachael Setterstrom; Winnebago's Izzy Burd; Belvidere North's Jesse Kramer and Cortlyn Hefty; Hononegah's Jordan Dimke; Guilford's Callum Draxinger; Harlem's McKenna Winters; and Winnebago's Supreme Muhammad.
