Rocket Mortgage Classic stays in late June for 2024 PGA Tour calendar
The PGA Tour released its schedule for the 2024 season and the Rocket Mortgage Classic is holding firm on the calendar.
The Detroit Golf Club will host its annual event from June 24-30, with the four-round tournament running from June 27-30.
That placement on the calendar — two weeks after the U.S. Open and three weeks before the British Open — is a repeat from this year's calendar.
The Rocket Mortgage Classic enjoyed its best field in its five-year history last month, when Rickie Fowler won the tournament in a three-man playoff. The 156-player field featured 10 of the top 35 players in the World Golf Rankings.
Next year's field may be even better thanks to the PGA Tour-LIV Golf merger. It is still not clear how players who left the PGA Tour to play for LIV will be allowed to re-apply, but that process is expected for next season for players like Phil Mickelson, Dustin Johnson and Bryson DeChambeau.
There aren't many other new wrinkles in the 2024 PGA Tour season except for July 29-Aug. 4 when the Tour bows out in favor of the Summer Olympics in Paris.
