River Kings place 7th at their Holiday Invitational
Dec. 18—CLINTON — The Clinton River Kings swim team hosted their Holiday Invitational on Saturday afternoon as they welcomed nine other schools.
Clinton had a nice day, placing seventh with 102 total points. They started their day with a sixth place finish in the 200 yard medley relay as Caleb Dornbush, Brian Unke, Ben Zimmer and Dylan Todtz combined for a time of 1:56.37.
Dornbush then took second overall in the 50 yard freestyle with a time of 22.99. That same group of later finished in a tie for third in the 200 yard freestyle relay, finishing in 1:41.37.
Finally to close out the top finishes for the River Kings, Dornbush finished in third place in the 100 yard backstroke with a time of 59.83.
They will be on the road at Dubuque Senior on Tuesday night with a 6 p.m. start.
