A return more than 30 years in the making

After being away from Memorial Stadium for more than 30 years, a former quarterback turned coach returns home this weekend. Wide Receivers Coach Mickey Joseph met with media members ahead of the Husker’s Red and White Spring Game on Saturday. Out of several topics discussed, Joseph talked about being back in Memorial Stadium after over 30 years. Joseph played for Nebraska from 1988-to 1991, starting in nine games, rushing for 1,091 yards and 16 touchdowns, throwing for 909 yards and 14 touchdowns.

“I think it is going to be a little weird walking back in there after probably what 30 years but I think once the ball kicks off the focus will get towards the game. You have to appreciate being back. You have to appreciate being back in Lincoln. Every day that you are here you appreciate it so I think going in there is going to be a little different but I will be fine.”

Nebraska will play their Red and White Spring Game on Saturday, April 9th, at 1:00 pm on the Big Ten Network.
