Report: Tua Tagovailoa remains in concussion protocol, won’t participate in Pro Bowl Games

Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa was put into the league’s concussion protocol after hitting his head on the ground in the Christmas Day matchup against the Green Bay Packers.

According to ESPN’s Marcel Louis-Jacques, Tagovailoa is still in concussion protocol over a month later. The prolongated stay in the protocol is reportedly not due to a setback as he’s been making “a deliberate progression through protocol.”

With the NFL’s 2023 Pro Bowl Games just over a week away, Tagovailoa was set to be an alternate. One of Joe Burrow and Patrick Mahomes, who were both voted to the original roster, will be participating in the Super Bowl the following week, keeping them out of the festivities.

However, Tagovailoa won’t be participating as he continues to get healthy after a year which could be considered as traumatic.
