Red Rally returns to St. Joseph on July 29

Jun. 30—The annual Red Rally celebration of the Kansas City Chiefs is scheduled for Saturday, July 29, at Civic Center Park in Downtown St. Joseph.

The city of St. Joseph announced Friday that the rally will take place from 1 to 7:30 p.m. Previous Red Rally events were held on Fridays, but this one is moved to a Saturday as the Chiefs begin public practices the previous Sunday at Missouri Western State University.

The Saturday event kicks off at 1 p.m. with live music, food vendors and inflatables for children. Official Red Rally T-shirts will be available for purchase.

Tech N9ne will be back performing a short, family-friendly set that includes his "Red Kingdom" anthem for all Chiefs football fans. Country music singer/songwriter Blane Howard returns to the stage to close out the evening.

Other entertainment includes '90s cover bands Motley Crucial and Poison Overdose, along with Kansas City radio personalities. Mitch Holthus, KC Wolf, Rumble and the Chiefs cheerleaders will be on stage.

Training camp begins Sunday, July 23, and concludes on Thursday, Aug. 17, at Missouri Western State University.

The Red Rally is a collaboration of Made with Uncommon Character, an organization supported by Mosaic Life Care, the city of St. Joseph, the St. Joseph Chamber of Commerce, Missouri Western, the St. Joseph School District and the St. Joseph Convention and Visitors Bureau.
