Cincinnati Bengals defeated Kansas City Chiefs 27-24.

The first interception in 132 career pass attempts in AFC Championship games for Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes was batted in the air and caught by Bengals defensive lineman B.J. Hill.

"It's now easily the biggest play of the game! You know how rare that is - a Mahomes interception?!" CBS color analyst Tony Romo said of Hill's pick.

Hill's interception set up Bengals receiver Ja'Marr Chase's 2-yard touchdown catch from quarterback Joe Burrow late in the third quarter. The Bengals tied the game on Burrow's toss to Trent Taylor on a 2-point conversion.

Mahomes was intercepted again in overtime, by Bengals safety Vonn Bell.

Social media reactions:

Hill, a fourth-year player from North Carolina State University, was a third-round pick of the New York Giants in 2018. The Bengals acquired Hill last August for center Billy Price, Cincinnati's first-round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft.
