Razorbacks lose Cabot High graduate Crockett to transfer portal

As of Tuesday, just about every significant contributor in the Arkansas wide receivers room from 2023 was returning.

Well, except for the coach, anyway.

Player-wise, though, that meant, in theory, the depth chart is a bit more solidified there than elsewhere. Perhaps that’s why Searcy native Marlon Crockett entered the transfer portal.

Crockett spent just one season with the Razorbacks after transferring from Memphis. He played in one game with the Tigers as a redshirt freshman, but found himself buried on the depth chart upon arrival in Fayetteville.

A graduate of Cabot High, Crockett moved to Arkansas while in high school after growing up in Texas.

Arkansas is set to return its top five wide receivers in 2024, though wide receivers coach Kenny Guiton is reportedly leaving for the same job at Wisconsin, meaning other transfers could, conceivably, follow.
