Ravens HC John Harbaugh explains absence of OT Morgan Moses on plays for OL Patrick Mekari in Week 8

The Baltimore Ravens signed offensive tackle Morgan Moses to a three-year, $15 million deal in the 2022 offseason. The team has seen him step in and be their starting right tackle on a consistent basis, providing them with quality snaps across the board.

Moses was taken out of Baltimore’s Week 8 win against the Arizona Cardinals for certain snaps on drives, Ravens head coach John Harbaugh shared his thought process. He said it was to get Moses some rest and get fellow offensive lineman Patrick Mekari in on the action as well.

“It was just [to] give Morgan [Moses] a little chance to not have so many reps. You have ‘Pat’ [Patrick Mekari]. Why not put him out there? He’s a starting-caliber player.”
