Rams’ roster ranked 4th-best in NFL entering 2022 season
After winning Super Bowl LVI, the Rams seem destined to contend for another title in 2022 with the way their roster is constructed. Aaron Donald is back after considering retirement, Cooper Kupp just signed a lucrative extension and Matthew Stafford is entering his second season with the Rams.
There are still some holes and mild concerns at a couple of positions, but at the top of the depth chart, it’ll be hard for a team to match the talent that the Rams have. ESPN ranked every team’s roster from No. 1 to 32 using PFF’s database, taking a look at strengths, weaknesses and one X-factor for each club.
The Rams were ranked No. 4, with Donald and Jalen Ramsey being mentioned as Los Angeles’ biggest strength. Their biggest weakness? The pass rush without Von Miller, knowing Justin Hollins, Terrell Lewis or Chris Garrett will need to step up opposite Leonard Floyd. Allen Robinson was highlighted as their X-factor, filling the role of Odell Beckham Jr. as the No. 2 receiver alongside Kupp.
The only teams ranked ahead of the Rams were the Bills, Bucs and Chargers, all of which will be tough to beat in 2022. The 49ers were ranked at No. 13, followed by the Cardinals at 23 and Seahawks at 29.
