Rain postpones Friday's OHSAA softball district finals at Pickerington Central

Watkins Memorial's Carsyn Cassady pitches during a 12-0 victory against visiting Dublin Coffman in a Division I district semifinal Tuesday. Cassady threw her second consecutive no-hitter of the tournament, but the top-seeded Warriors and the rest of the Division I field have to wait an extra day to play the district final after rain postponed Friday's games.

Rain postponed Friday’s scheduled Division I softball district finals at Pickerington Central to Saturday.

The Dresden Tri-Valley-Hilliard Bradley, Olentangy Liberty-Lancaster, Olentangy Orange-Watkins Memorial and Teays Valley-Marysville matchups all were scheduled for 5 p.m. Friday before persistent rain fell in the area overnight and into Friday afternoon.

Division II, III and IV games already had been scheduled for Saturday at Central.

As of 2 p.m., the Division II Southeast District finals with Circleville facing Chillicothe Unioto and Logan Elm facing Thornville Sheridan at Ohio University were still on as scheduled.

Here is the revised Saturday schedule, with seeds. The better seed is the designated home team in each game:
