QB Ranks: Top passing performances from Week 2

No one expected the pandemonium that ultimately took place in week two of the College Football season.

Three teams from the Sun Belt Conference traveled to major programs and left with an upset win. One of those happened right here in the SEC.

The No. 6 Texas A&M Aggies, who entered the season with high expectations following an upset win over Alabama last season and reeling in an impressive signing class, fell to Appalachian State 17-14 at Kyle Field.

The Mountaineers did a great job of limiting Aggies quarterback Haynes King, as he was held to just 97 yards passing.

Another shocker happened in Austin, as the No. 1 Alabama Crimson Tide squeaked by Texas, 20-19, in a game that many believed would end in a blowout. Penalties and failed execution led to the close game, as well as quarterback Bryce Young not being as efficient as he is known to be.

The biggest surprise of the weekend happened at the Swamp, as Kentucky stole a win from Florida after the Gators upset No. 7 Utah the week prior. The hero of the Utah win was quarterback Anthony Richardson, who led the Gators offense to key scores. In week two’s game against Kentucky, he threw two interceptions while failing to throw a touchdown.

Several SEC quarterbacks improved their games last week, while others hope to never repeat their week two performances ever again. Here is a look at how efficient each SEC quarterback was during their Week 2 contest.
