Protect Ya Neck Week 1 - Josh Jacobs

Matt Harmon discusses how Josh Jacobs will be off his game in week 1.

MATT HARMON: Well, I'm trying to get my head on straight after it was like 360 degrees spinning around about this Trey Sermon inactive situation. But how about Josh Jacobs as a guy that's definitely going to be off his game here in week one? I mean, listen, he's coming in banged up. Obviously, that's not great, you don't want to come in week one banged up. He's also playing the Baltimore Ravens on Monday Night Football. And despite the fact that the Ravens kind of have had a anything that can go wrong has gone wrong type of situation for them in the off season, I still expect Lamar Jackson, Ty'Son Williams, basically whoever is out there to be able to get over on this Raiders defense.

I mean, hiring Gus Bradley, that was your solution to fixing a defense that is annually a problem? I don't think that's going to be good enough. So with the Ravens in control and the Raiders in a negative game script, we know that is not the type of situation where Josh Jacobs thrives in from a fantasy perspective. He's just not involved enough as a pass catcher. I would actually play Ty'Son Williams in that same game over a guy like Josh Jacobs even if that's a little riskier.
