Javon Bullard from Georgia football is officially an NFL rookie after being picked by the Green Bay Packers in the second round of the 2024 NFL draft. He was selected 58th overall.

A player who exudes a passion and a joy for the game, Bullard was the lowest rated recruit in Georgia's 2021 signing class. He was ranked the No. 634 overall player by the 247Sports Composite, but coaches helped develop him into a playmaker going to the next level. Bullard had two interceptions each of the last two seasons and was named defensive MVP in both the Peach Bowl game against Ohio State and the national championship blowout of TCU. His hometown of Milledgeville had a day in his honor after the national title victory.

Bullard raised his profile in the College Football Playoff in the 2022 season. A cookie dough store in Athens named the "Bullard's Buckeye Crunch," after a play in which broke up a pass in the back of the end zone and hit Buckeyes star Marvin Harrison Jr. so hard that it knocked him out of the game with a concussion. He started his sophomore season at nickel back and as a junior last year at safety. Bullard doesn't have ideal size at 5-foot-10 1/2 and 198 pounds. Served a one-game suspension in 2022 for a DUI.

Javon Bullard player comparison (or potential) in NFL

Bullard drew a comparison by NFL.com's Lance Zierlein to former Michigan safety Josh Metellus, a 5-11, 207-pound fifth-year player with the Minnesota Vikings. Zierlein wrote Georgia "provided the blueprint by playing him as a big nickel with run support and modest man cover duties — NFL teams would be wise to follow suit."
