Prep roundup: Charlotte baseball wins tournament, Williamston rolls in pair of victories

CHARLOTTE 15, CLINTON 2 / CHARLOTTE 6, HANOVER-HORTON 3

HORTON — The Orioles came away with a Chris Brian tournament title with victories over Clinton and Hanover-Horton. Maddux Powell and Aaron Brown each drove in three runs against Clinton and Tyler Bowzer picked up the win on the mound and went 3-for-3 in game 2 with two doubles and a RBI for Charlotte.

WILLIAMSTON 14, EAST LANSING 2 / WILLIAMSTON 10, PAW PAW 0

WILLIAMSTON — Brayden Johnson was 2-for-4 with four RBI, Aiden Friess went 3-for-3 with a double and three RBI and Carter Gulick was 2-for-2 with a pair of doubles and three RBI to lead Williamston in its win over East Lansing. Gulick led the offense against Paw Paw, going 3-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI, while Miles Keener and Richard Cuzydlo each drove in two runs. Brett Palmer allowed just two hits and struck out eight in five inning while helping Williamston shut out Paw Paw.

TRAVERSE CITY WEST 4, OKEMOS 3 / OKEMOS 2, TRAVERSE CITY WEST 0

TRAVERSE CITY — Henri Cavalier picked up the win in game two as the Wolves earned a twinbill sweep. Sebastian Blair notched the save and Keagan Noble tallied an RBI for Okemos (3-3).

BOYS LACROSSE

LANSING CATHOLIC 11, ROYAL OAK SHRINE 8

ROYAL OAK — Payton Allaire had four goals and two assists and Logan Voss had three goals and three assists for Lansing Catholic in its win. Mikey Brooks added four goals and Isaac Ciuk finished with 15 saves in the victory.
