PREP ROUNDUP: Bulldogs knock off Eagles 62-43; Cold Springs girls run away in 2nd half
Nov. 14—Peyton Twilley and Eli Clements each collected a team-high 13 points as Hanceville built an early lead against Cold Springs en route to a 62-43 home victory on Tuesday night.
The Bulldogs forced several first-quarter turnovers — 26 for the game — and led 20-5 after just eight minutes.
Hanceville, which also dominated the boards, gradually extended its cushion to 24 entering the fourth quarter.
The Eagles were paced by Cole Bales, who totaled a game-high 24 points.

Cold Springs 64, Hanceville 26: The Eagles used a 37-point third quarter to turn a close game into a runaway victory at Lane Horton Gymnasium.
Cold Springs (4-0) held a 17-13 halftime advantage but dialed up some serious defensive pressure over the next eight minutes, using a stifling press to create easy scoring opportunities off Hanceville turnovers.
Ella Dickerson (21 points) and Ella Bruer (16 points) provided the top contributions for the road team, which sank eight of its 11 3-pointers in the decisive period.
Alex Twitty led the Bulldogs with 10 points.
