There’s a heightened sense of excitement in the air for this one.

This will be the 117th time that Texas and Oklahoma have faced off against each other. The Longhorns lead the overall series 62-49-5, but the Sooners have won four of the last five meetings at the Cotton Bowl.

The hatred between the two programs is enough to fire up the crowd and provide a unique environment. When you add in the fact that College GameDay is in town, both opponents are ranked, and it’s the first time that offensive gurus Steve Sarkisian and Lincoln Riley will face each other, it becomes a must-watch game.
