Portage HS scores | Jan. 9: Charlie Schweickert drains seven 3-pointers to lead Crestwood
Charlie Schweickert made seven 3-pointers to help lift Crestwood to a 74-47 victory over Wickliffe in Chagrin Valley Conference boys basketball Tuesday.
Schweickert, a senior, finished with a team-high 25 points for the Red Devils (9-1, 5-0), who completed a perfect first turn through CVC Valley Division play. Junior Dekota Johnson added 17 points, including 13 after halftime. Freshman Brody Durham helped facilitate the Crestwood attack with 10 assists.

Aurora 56, Copley 49
The Greenmen won their fourth straight game with four players finishing in double figures: Brock Habbyshaw (13 points), Joshua Harrell (11), Ben Lukasik (10) and Cooper Carnahan (10). Habbyshaw and Lukasik each made three 3-pointers to lead Aurora (6-4, 3-3 Suburban American).
Newton Falls 55, Garfield 47
The G-Men fell despite three 3-pointers and 15 points from Preston Gedeon.
Nick Edic and Eric Geddes added eight points apiece for Garfield (2-8, 1-4 Mahoning Valley Athletic Conference Grey Tier), which also got seven from Vince Yukich. Newton Falls' Jabriel Rufal scored 19 points, including 13 in the first half.

The Falcons (9-6, 5-4 Metro Athletic Conference) won their fourth straight game, led by another double-double by Delilah Rahe (17 points, 10 assists).
Balanced Field had four players score six to nine points: Sarah Balzar (9), Abby Harlin (8), Tia Ulrich (6) and Ally Harlin (6).
