Last week featured several memorable performances as local athletes started the new year with a spark. Who will receive your vote for the Girls Athlete of the Week for the week of January 22?

Who won last week's Girls Athlete of the Week poll?

In last week's poll, Bensalem wrestler Payton Hinkle was voted Girls Athlete of the Week with 42 percent of the vote.

In a close second place was Conwell-Egan basketball player Mya Aizen at 40 percent.

Vote for the Girls Athlete of the Week for January 22-28!

  • Grace Weyler, Neshaminy, basketball. The freshman scored a career-high 12 points, going 4-for-4 from the 3-point line, in a win over Pennsbury.

  • Emily Knouse, Archbishop Wood, basketball. Scored 34 points, tying the team record, in a victory over Lansdale Catholic

  • Ashley Stank, Quakertown, wrestling. Won the 106-pound title, going 3-0 with two wins by fall, at the Battle of the Bucks.

  • Macayla Needham, CB East, wrestling. Won the 112-pound title at the Battle of the Bucks and improved to 20-6 on the season.

  • Quinn Jerardi, George School, swimming. Won the girls 100 freestyle with a time of 56.06 in a Friends School League meet, breaking the previous school record set in 2004.

  • Talia DiMichele, Bensalem, basketball. Had a game-high 14 points in an OT victory against CR South, including a game-tying assist in the final seconds of regulation.
