DAN TITUS: You're obviously a big fantasy football content creator, big fancy player, as me as well. We're in tons of leagues together. But I'm sure that there's probably a few leagues where you didn't make the playoffs, and I'm sure there's many other people out there too that you're wondering, you're looking at your phone it's like, man, what do I do now? Why not play fantasy basketball? So J, tell me why it's easy to transition from playing fantasy football to fancy basketball.

JUSTIN HENRY: There's a lot of people that don't really know about fantasy basketball, and they actually watch basketball. They're hoop fans. They're debating with their friends about who the GOAT is, or you're talking about the In-season Tournament. But it comes at a really good time because for a lot of people in the basketball community, basketball doesn't really turn up until after the Christmas Games. Like, that's when a lot of people start tuning in.

Well, the funny thing is that's right around the time that the fantasy football playoffs are ending for a lot of teams. So it's the perfect segue. You can start to build your teams, have something to watch during the offseason, right? Like, you're waiting dynasty-wise. The draft isn't until April.

DAN TITUS: No one plays dynasty. Come on.

JUSTIN HENRY: Hey, some people do.

DAN TITUS: There's straight D-gens on Twitter, man. Ain't nobody regularly playing no dynasty leagues. So let's be honest, everyone's looking at their phone like, man, what do I do now? That's why you got to play fantasy basketball. And one of those things that you're going to touch on is, like, it's actually not that different, right? You're looking at stats, you set your lineups, and then you see how they perform.

I think one of the things that's been a hard barrier to entry for some people is like, man, I don't want to have to worry about categories, and I don't want to have to worry about trying to jump in the league, and I don't know how to play. Guess what, man? Yahoo makes it easy for you. You can jump in a public league. You can jump in a paid league if you want. You can play with the points format.

So it's the same thing. Like, you produce stats. You get points. Very easy transition. And if you're worried about the NBA plays too much, they play day to day, it's OK. You can set your lineup, optimal lineup. The same way you do it in Yahoo for football, you can do it for basketball. Set it and forget it. So it's a lot easier than people think.

JUSTIN HENRY: Yeah. And it's cool because a lot of people, that's one of the things about fantasy football. Some people like to do PPR leagues. Some people like to do IDP leagues, defense-only, or keeper leagues, redraft, you name it. There's options when it comes to fantasy basketball, and the thing is you can set different positions.

You can set the different types of category leagues that you want, head-to-head, or if you just want to play against everybody in your league, man. I think it's an easy way to transition too. For those people that got the group chat, you know what I'm saying? The ones that talk smack to each other back and forth, this is a good way to keep things going during the offseason.

DAN TITUS: That's right, and you don't even need to worry about all of the injuries. Like, all of the pre-work has already been done, right? I'm updating my rankings every week. You can tap in, check out the latest draft board, and where people are going. Like, all the information is right there for you. There's already been injuries. Those players are out the way. You're actually hitting the stride right where NBA players are like getting their rhythms, their rotations are getting figured out, and there's buckets being scored.

We're coming off the In-season Tournament, as you mentioned, so there's going to be a lot of hype around Christmas. And what else are you going to be doing on Christmas? You might as well start a fantasy team, and then you can start following along with the league, man. It's the most social interactive sport out there. And come on, man, you can just be as mad as we are that Jokic is getting tossed on a random Tuesday night.

JUSTIN HENRY: Yeah. And I'm going to be real, like, there's going to be a lot of mad people here over the fantasy football playoffs. This is time to get happy. What's the most joyous part of the fantasy football season? It's the draft. That's when everybody thinks they're going to win a championship.

DAN TITUS: Yeah.

JUSTIN HENRY: Go draft your team right now, even in mid-season. It's a good go. And like you said, you can mock draft. There's a lot of information out there. There's articles, your rankings specifically, a lot of information. I think if you haven't tried a fantasy basketball league, you're missing out.
