Playoff update: Canyon, West Plains to meet in baseball; Pampa, Dumas still alive in softball
The high school baseball and softball playoffs are continuing and there are a handful of Panhandle teams still playing as the calendar heads deeper into May.
Here's a look at last week's results along with this week's coming matchups.
Baseball

RANDALL VS. EL PASO IRVIN
All games at Seminole
Game 1: Randall 11, Irvin 0
Game 2: Randall 11, Irvin 1
Of note: Randall continues to roll and will face off with District 3-4A champion Seminole in the region quarters.
CLINT VS. CANYON
All games at Seminole
Game 1: Canyon 3, Clint 2
Game 2: Canyon 13, Clint 1
Of note: The Eagles survive a Game 1 test and will face off with West Plains in the third round.
EL PASO RIVERSIDE VS. WEST PLAINS
All games at Midland Greenwood
Game 1: West Plains 2, Riverside 0
Game 2: West Plains 2, Riverside 1
Of note: West Plains outlasted a solid Riverside squad to earn a chance to faceoff with Canyon ISD brother Canyon.
Class 3A
BUSHLAND VS. LITTLEFIELD
One-game: Littlefield 7, Bushland 4, Littlefield advances
Of note: The Wildcats stopped Bushland.
Class 2A
NEW HOME VS. GRUVER

SUNDOWN VS. WELLINGTON

Softball
REGIONAL QUARTERFINALS

Game 2: Dumas 14, Randall 4, Dumas win series 2-0.
Of note: The Demons took care of the Raiders and will face off with Sanger in their quest for a spot in the state tourney. Dumas has scored 102 runs in six playoff games.
PAMPA VS. WEST PLAINS
Game 1: Pampa 4, West Plains 1
Game 2: Pampa 6, West Plains 1, Pampa wins series 2-0.
Of note: After a Game 2 loss to Monahans in the first round, the Harvesters have won five straight games and allowed a combined four runs in those games.
Class 3A
AMARILLO RIVER ROAD VS. LAMESA
One-game River Road 16, Lamesa 3, River Road advances.
Of note: River Road scored in double digits for fourth time in five games and take on Iowa Park, an upset winner against Jacksboro.
BUSHLAND VS. SHALLOWATER
One-game: Bushland 18, Shallowater 1, Bushland advances
Of note: The Falcons will face off with defending champion and undefeated Coahoma.
