Which players have stood out for the Boston Celtics in this year’s Las Vegas Summer League action? Has it been one of the young guards on the come-up like Juhann Begarin or JD Davison? Perhaps it has been the big men vying for a roster slot with the Celtics like Mfiondu Kabengele or Trevion Williams. One might even have been won over by the play of veterans like forward Matt Ryan, wing Brodric Thomas, or swingman Justin Jackson.

Boston has a number of potential roster slots to fill, and will be looking for cheaper, less experienced players like this assortment of prospects to fill them. But does it make more sense to bet on upside, or to go with players who have shown more already when it comes to regular roster slots?

The host of the CLNS Media “Winning Plays” podcast Brian Robb got together with MassLive’s Souichi Terada to grade some of the more prominent members of the Sin City Celtics’ play this offseason while discussing who ought to be tendered offers in a recent episode.
