Our picks for Bucks County top high school girls athletes of 2000s from Council Rock North

Our Mount Rushmore series of the top high school athletes in the Courier Times/Intelligencer area from 2000 to present continues with our look at the top female performers from Council Rock North.

Remember, what the athletes accomplished athletically while in high school carried more weight than what they did after high school.

Take a look (in alphabetical order):

Kate Dillione, 2011 graduate

A four-year letter winner in swimming, she was a three-time All-America and team captain as a senior.

Also a six-time PIAA medalist, three-time team MVP and school record holder in five events. Swam in college at Brown University.

Erica Herr, 2014 graduate

She was a two-time PIAA golf champion, winning titles in her sophomore and junior years. Placed second at PIAA championships as a senior.

Also won the 2010 Pennsylvania Junior Amateur. Played her college golf at Wake Forest University.

Council Rock North graduate Amelia Honer won a pair of PIAA tennis titles.

Amelia Honer, 2021 graduate

She was a two-time PIAA singles tennis champion. Was the first Council Rock North player to win a PIAA title.

Right after graduating, she competed in the U.S. Junior Open. Is playing her college tennis at the University of California-Santa Barbara.

Lindsay Rheiner, 2011 graduate

A four-year letter winner in both lacrosse and cross country. Won the PIAA cross country title as a senior.

She was a two-time lacrosse team captain who helped lead team to back-to-back league titles. Played in college at the United States Naval Academy.
