Pickerington Central's Madison Greene named Ohio Ms. Basketball finalist

Pickerington Central’s Madison Greene is one of seven finalists for Ms. Basketball, the Ohio Prep Sportswriters Association announced Wednesday.

The 5-foot-7 senior point guard, a Vanderbilt signee, averaged 15.2 points, 4.0 steals, 3.0 assists and 3.0 rebounds through 26 games for the Tigers (23-4), who will play Marysville in a Division I regional final Friday at Otterbein.

Greene also was shooting 42% from the field and 32% from 3-point range before Tuesday night’s 60-52 win over Dublin Coffman in a regional semifinal. Greene scored 19 points, 15 on 3-pointers, and was partly responsible for holding Shamrocks star Jenna Kopyar to four points.
