Sportsbook Wire: Suns 129, Pistons 114

Jess Root writes: "The Pistons, despite a terrible win-loss record, have been pretty good against the spread. They are 27-26-1 ATS overall this season and 14-12 ATS on the road. And while the Suns are 10-17-1 ATS at home and 22-30-2 ATS overall, they have covered the spread in all of their last 7 victories. Ans they beat the Pistons by 14 in Detroit when they met in November."

Winners and Whiners: Take the Suns to cover against Pistons

It writes: "Between injuries and trades, Detroit has several new faces on the roster. The Pistons are playing without Quentin Grimes and Isaiah Stewart (11.0 ppg, 6.8 rpg) due to injuries, Bojan Bogdanovic, Evan Fournier, Alec Burks, Marvin Bagley III and Malachi Flynn were traded. Detroit acquired six players in its trades. This means that several players are getting used to the others that remained. Continuity of any sort is non-existent for the Pistons and players like Cade Cunningham, Jalen Duren and Jaden Ivey are a few of the remaining players from last season that play several minutes and are not injured. Phoenix has covered the spread in five of its last seven games overall. Detroit was able to cover the spread in its last game when losing to the LA Clippers but playing its 5th straight game on the road out west and 2nd in in many days with a very new roster will create problems for the Pistons late, as Phoenix will pull away in the 4th quarter."

Stat Salt: Bet the Suns to cover vs. Pistons

Caleb Davis writes: "The Suns certainly have the playmaker pedigree and will be at home, facing Detroit in their 5th straight west coast road game. The fatigue will set in for the Pistons after a hard-fought loss to the Clippers and the Suns have victory snatched in the final seconds of play, something that will leave a sour taste in their mouth. Further, the Pistons have turned the ball over far too often to have ample confidence in the offense and their defense has failed to come away with steals, ultimately resulting in opponents doing what they want offensively. Look for the Suns to dictate this one."
