PFF ranks Raiders WR Davante Adams as No. 1 WR in NFL in 2023

Davante Adams is coming off the best season of his career, catching 100 passes and going over 1,500 yards once again. He had another year with double-digit touchdowns as he was dominant in his first year with the Raiders.

In a recent article by Pro Football Focus, they ranked their top 50 players heading into the 2023 NFL season. There were multiple players for the Raiders who appeared on the list, including Maxx Crosby.

The list also included Adams, who was the highest-ranked receiver by the site. Yes, that means that he was even higher than Justin Jefferson as Adams came in at No. 8 overall on the list. Here is a snippet of what the site had to say about the All-Pro receiver for Las Vegas:

The world is declaring Justin Jefferson to be the best wide receiver in the NFL, and while he may have ascended to join Adams atop the mountain, it’s hard to definitively say he has surpassed him.

Adams still has the superior PFF grade and yards per route run figure over any period of time Jefferson has been in the league. And he just showed he can do it without Aaron Rodgers throwing him the football. The king of receivers still has his crown.

Adams is widely regarded as one of the top receivers in the NFL. But it’s nice to see a reputable site rank him at No. 1 once again after switching teams and quarterbacks last year. Time will tell if he can put up similar stats with yet another new quarterback this year.
