Peoria native Shaun Livingston leaving front office role with NBA's Golden State Warriors

Peoria native Shaun Livingston will be stepping away from his role with the NBA's Golden State Warriors, according to multiple media outlets.

The news came last week, just hours after the Warriors announced they were replacing general manager Bob Myers with Mike Dunleavy, Jr., according to the San Francisco Chronicle. NBC Sports Bay area first reported the news.

Livingston, 37, for the past three seasons, had been Golden State's director of players affairs and engagement. He will leave the team to focus more on his family and is expected to move to Las Vegas full-time. Livingston his wife, Joanna, and their two children, ages 4 and 6, already have a house in Vegas, according to NBC Sports.

The 2004 Peoria High grad is a three-time NBA champion with the Warriors, a key reserve during the team's championship runs in 2015, '17 and '18. Last year, he was inducted into the Greater Peoria Sports Hall of Fame.
