Penguins coach Bylsma tabbed U.S. men's Olympic coach

USA Hockey president Ron DeGregorio announced Saturday that Pittsburgh Penguins coach Dan Bylsma was named coach of the U.S. Olympic men's hockey team at the 2014 games in Sochi, Russia.

Bylsma, 42, is 201-92-25 as the Penguins coach, including winning the 2009 Stanley Cup. He won the Jack Adams Award as the NHL Coach of the Year in 2011.

The Penguins had the top seed in the Eastern Conference this season and made it to the conference finals where they were eliminated in four games by the Boston Bruins.

The U.S. won the silver medal at the 2010 Vancouver Olympics, falling to Canada 3-2 in overtime over the gold medal game.
