Paul Bryant standout Adrian Wooley announces commitment to Kennesaw State

Paul Bryant basketball's Adrian Wooley announced he will be taking his talents to Kennesaw State University.

The reigning all-area player of the year announced his commitment to KSU on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter.

Wooley will be joining an Owls' program coming off its best season yet, finishing 26-9 overall and winning its first ASUN Conference Tournament, along with punching a ticket to its first NCAA Men's Division I Tournament. KSU is under new leadership this season, with former Alabama assistant coach Antoine Pettway taking the job last April.

Coach Pettway, Wooley said, had a major impact on Wooley's decision to go to KSU.

"That decision, really it was due to coach Pettway," he said. "I trust his coaching and the way he coaches. He lets his team be free and play free. Plus, there's two more freshman coming in, too, and the team is young, so there's a lot of potential."

The 6-foot-4 guard has been a dominant force on the Stampede squad over his three years with the program. Last season, he helped lead Paul Bryant to the AHSAA Class 6A Final Four along with a 6A-Area 6 championship. He averaged 18 points, seven rebounds and five assists per game during the 2022-23 season, along with shooting better than 40% on 3-pointers and better than 80% from the free throw line.

Wooley had a total of 13 other offers, choosing KSU over Murray State University, FGCU, Marshall University and others.
