Patriots honoring Bills safety Damar Hamlin on Gillette Stadium video board

The New England Patriots are dedicating their video board at Gillette Stadium in honor of Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin, who went into cardiac arrest and collapsed on the football field on Monday night.

Multiple Patriots players, including owner Robert Kraft, have donated to Hamlin’s toy drive charity in the aftermath of the tragic incident.

Even with the Bills positioned as their Week 18 opponent and a trip to the playoffs on the line, the Patriots are showing that there are clearly some things bigger than football. Practice resumed on Wednesday, but both teams have pushed back media availability in light of everything that’s happened.

There was a positive update on Hamlin’s condition with the team revealing there had been signs of improvement overnight. So that at least gives some hope that things will continue trending in the right direction.

But for now, the 24-year-old still remains in the ICU in critical condition.
