Pairings and tee times set for 2024 OCIAA boys golf championships

The Orange County Interscholastic Athletic Association boys golf championship will be held Monday morning, at the West Point Golf Course.

All the action begins at 9 a.m. with foursomes assigned to 13 different holes. Two golfers - Newburgh's Mark Yan and Cornwall['s Daniel Bloom - were granted the opportunity to qualify on Sunday.

OCIAA May 16, 2023: Varsity 845: High school sports roundups, schedules for May 15-21

The top 29 finishers plus ties will qualify for the first round of the Section 9 championships at Wiltwyck Country Club on May 21 - qualifiers from the Mid-Hudson Athletic League (a fall season) will also join.

The West Point Golf Course - located north of the Bear Mountain Bridge and U.S. Military Academy - is considered a challenging 18-hole layout with elevation and uneven lies. Woods line the fairways and there are small greens. It was designed by Robert Trent Jones.
