Pac-12 Network goes dark early as Arizona vs. California basketball broadcast goes off air

Pac-12 After Dark?

More like Pac-12 goes dark.

Media members and fans of the Arizona basketball team voiced their displeasure with the conference's television network, Pac-12 Network, on social media Thursday night when the broadcast of Arizona's game against California was not on the air late in the second half because of "technical difficulties."

Many people in Tucson lost coverage of the game with about five minutes remaining. Some were able to get it back in time for the very end of the game, a 91-65 win for the Wildcats over the Golden Bears.

Social media was not amused with the situation, with several people venting their frustration with the situation.

Social media sounded off on the Pac-12 Network

The Pac-12 Network has long drawn fans' ire. They won't be able to complain about it when it is gone.

Pac-12 Network's future

This isn't the first time the network has had incidents that affected fans ability to watch the game, nor will it be the last, but Arizona fans were in a particularly bitter mood about it during the void in coverage Thursday.

Enjoy having the network while it lasts, however, because it won't be around much longer with all but two Pac-12 Conference teams set to join other conferences beginning in the upcoming football season.

Pac-12 fans will then have to complain about Big 12, Big Ten and ACC television coverage.

That probably won't take too much getting used to it, too.
