Shaq to DJ second straight P&L Fan Fest for Big 12 hoops tourneys

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Big 12 basketball tournaments have become synonymous with the Power & Light District’s college basketball Fan Fest.

P&L announced on Tuesday that this year’s Fan Fest will run throughout both women’s and men’s Big 12 tournaments.

They’re anticipating 300,000 Big 12 fans to come to Kansas City from as near as Lawrence and Manhattan and from as far as Orlando (University of Central Florida), Morgantown (West Virginia University) and Provo, Utah (BYU).

Big 12 women’s basketball tournament moving to T-Mobile Center gives fans extra days to enjoy activities in and around Kansas City Live!, including pep rallies, contests, live music and giveaways.

The women’s tournament begins on Thursday this week and completes on Tuesday next week, the same day the men’s tournament starts. The Fan Fest will feature an emcee and a deejay to bring the energy between games. Drink specials will be available at McFadden’s and No Other Pub throughout Sunday.

Attending any of the Fan Fest activities is free, and all ages are welcome inside Kansas City Live! before 9 p.m. More information about the college basketball Fan Fest at P&L can be found here.
