Oscar Gonzalez hits walk-off single to lift Columbus Clippers past Indianapolis Indians

Thursday's game: Columbus 5, Indianapolis 4

Recap: Oscar Gonzalez hit a two-run single in the bottom of the ninth to give the Clippers the victory. Chris Roller opened the inning with an infield single. After Raynel Delgado popped out, Richie Palacios reached on a fielder's choice, but Roller advanced on an error by Indianapolis pitcher Yerry De Los Santos. After Brayan Rocchio struck out, Bo Naylor walked to load the bases before the winning hit. Cleveland Guardians pitcher Triston McKenzie, rehabbing a shoulder injury, started for Columbus, allowing four runs on six hits in 4⅓ innings. Tim Herrin (4-1), the Clippers' fourth pitcher of the night, got the win after 1⅔ hitless innings.
