New Orleans Saints at Indianapolis Colts: Predictions, picks and odds for NFL Week 8 game

One team is poised to get back in the win column and the other could be on a three-game losing streak after the New Orleans Saints (3-4) face the Indianapolis Colts (3-4).

The Saints offense heard it from the home fans in the "Thursday Night Football" loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars, and even with a valiant fourth-quarter effort, it wasn't enough to rally for the win. The NFC South is up for grabs, but another loss could stretch the gap between New Orleans and first place.

It was a wild game, but the Colts fell just short in a thrilling game against the Cleveland Browns. There is optimism in the offense with Gardner Minshew at the helm, but Indianapolis is looking for results as they fall behind in the AFC South standings.

Lorenzo Reyes: Colts 22, Saints 15

The Saints offense has been one of the more underwhelming units in all of football, and there may be bad vibes with Derek Carr’s gesturing. Indy has been a pleasant surprise. My favorite play here is the under, which has hit in six of New Orleans’ seven games.

Tyler Dragon: Saints 24, Colts 21

Derek Carr must look in the mirror after his frustrations have boiled over to his teammates. Carr’s lack of chemistry with Saints playmakers has plagued the team. But the New Orleans offense showed signs of life in the fourth quarter in Week 7. That will carry over when they take on Indy.

Safid Deen: Colts 27, Saints 23

Derek Carr is so frustrated, but the Saints may have figured out their offense in their loss last week against the Jaguars. Still, I don’t feel as if the Saints are a cohesive bunch yet, while the Colts have shown they’ll be a tough out against anybody they face. I like the Colts at home in a close one, especially after coming up short against the Browns last week.

Victoria Hernandez: Colts 26, Saints 23

The Colts barely lost last week’s game and Jonathan Taylor is slowly, but surely, getting back to his star form. Meanwhile, there seems to be a lack of camaraderie on the Saints and off-field issues continue to create potential distractions.

Jordan Mendoza: Colts 27, Saints 24

The end of the loss against Jacksonville should give New Orleans hope that the offense could get going, especially against a defense that let the Browns score at will. However, Indianapolis has looked good with Jonathan Taylor back, and they get out to a quick lead that makes it too hard for New Orleans to dig out of.
