Oregon State’s Jacob Kmatz earned Pac-12 Pitcher of the Week, presented by Rawlings. Tossed his 1st career complete game as Oregon State defeated Arizona State, 9-1, on Saturday. Faced the minimum over the first 8 innings and his lone blemish was a pinch-hit home run by the Sun Devils in the 9th inning. Scattered 4 hits and did not walk a batter. ASU had opened the series with 8 runs on 11 hits in the opener Friday and had a team batting average in the .280 range leading up to the game. Recorded all 6 strikeouts from the 5th inning on.
