The Oregon women’s basketball team has agreed to a home-and-home series with Baylor beginning this winter.

The Ducks will take on the Bears first in Waco, Texas, at the Ferrell Center on Dec. 3 before Baylor returns the favor and comes to Matthew Knight Arena during the 2024-25 season.

“We are always looking to build a tough non-conference schedule and Baylor will be a marquee non-con opponent for us,” Ducks coach Kelly Graves said in a press release. “A matchup against such a quality program will help us prepare for the gauntlet of the Pac-12 schedule, and it will be good for our young team to take a great opponent in a tough environment.”

The matchup this winter will be the first for Oregon and Baylor since they met in the 2019 Final Four, a 72-67 Baylor victory. The Bears lead the all-time series with the Ducks, 4-0, with a 1-0 record in Waco and a 1-0 record in Eugene.

Baylor, a perennial power, has qualified for 19 straight NCAA tournaments — with three national titles in that stretch — to go along with 15 Sweet 16 appearances. Last season, the Bears went 20-13 and were knocked out in the Round of 32.

Oregon finished 20-15 last season and did not make the NCAA Tournament. The Ducks made it to the quarterfinals of the WNIT before losing to Washington.

Oregon’s full 2023-24 schedule will be announced at a later date.
