Oneonta boys win opener vs. Delhi; SK improves to 5-0
Dec. 7—A big performance from Brady Carr and excellent three-point shooting helped the Oneonta boys basketball team defeat Delhi 61-46 in its season opener at the Anthony Drago Tournament Thursday.
Carr scored a game-high 30 points as he made five of the Yellowjackets' 10 three-pointers in the win.
Britten Zeh finished with 11 points while Grayson Brockington and Makya Morrison each had nine.
Rocco Schnabel led Delhi with 17 points and Angelo Krzyston scored 11.
Oneonta will host Spackenkill Sunday.
South Kortright 68, Gilboa 40
South Kortright improved to 5-0 on the season by defeating Gilboa 68-40 at home Thursday.
Connor Quarino scored 30 points to lead the Rams while Logan Reinshagen added 10 in the win.
Jacob Strauch scored 11 points to pace Gilboa in the loss.
South Kortright will visit Jefferson/Stamford next Wednesday.
Margaretville 57, Roxbury 44
Margaretville defeated Roxbury 57-44 Thursday at home.
Connor Wayman led Margaretville with 26 points while Hunder Balcom had a double-double of 14 points and 11 rebounds. Ryan Sanford added 12 points in the win.
Mason Hamil hit five three-pointers and finished with 17 points while Chris Garofolo added 11 points in the win.
Hunter-Tannersville 22, Windham-Ashland-Jewett 21
Hunter-Tannersville outlasted Windham-Ashland-Jewett 22-21 at home Thursday.
Thomas Houlihan made one of two free throws in the final minute for H-T which proved to be enough for the Wildcats to hold on for the win.
Grady Glennon finished with 10 points, five steals and five blocks while Connor Schiefer added six points and 14 rebounds.
Jacob Schwartz led WAJ with eight points.
H-T (1-2) will be at Roxbury next Wednesday.
Hamilton 63, Cooperstown 41
Cooperstown fell to Hamilton at home 63-41 Thursday.
Cooper Coleman led the Hawkeyes with 14 points. Charlie Lambert finished with 12 points, four assists, four steals and four blocks, Brody Murdock scored 11 points and Cooper Bradley grabbed 20 rebounds.
Cooperstown (1-2) will host Poland Monday.
