One national NFL analyst pegs Bills as best fit for J.J. Watt

There’s no telling where JJ Watt’s career will take him next. Daniel Jeremiah even admitted that.

But Watt, now a free agent after he was released by the Texans on Friday, really is an intriguing option for the Buffalo Bills. Could they be in on the sweepstakes for his services?

Time will tell, but in Jeremiah’s initial reaction, it appears he thinks so. The former NFL scout turned NFL Network analyst said via his social media account on Twitter on Friday that he believes the Bills are the best team for him:

Visualizing Watt in the Bills uniform is certainly a tempting option. Buffalo’s pass rush was not their strongest suit in 2020 and a three-time Defensive Player of the Year could do the trick. Adding to Watt’s fit with the Bills would be Sean McDermott’s defensive scheme as well, which calls for a rotational long the defensive front. That could keep a soon to be 32 year old fresh throughout the season.

But of course, there’s numerous other factors just as the salary cap, Watt’s thinking, among other things which will play a part here.

At least the Bills have one person throwing their name into the ring?
