Ole Miss football redshirt tracker: Which freshmen could burn redshirt for Lane Kiffin's team?
OXFORD — With six games now complete, four Ole Miss football freshmen have already burned their redshirts by taking part in more than four games.
The first won't shock Rebels fans. Suntarine Perkins, the jewel of coach Lane Kiffin's 2023 recruiting class, has played in every game so far for Ole Miss. Defensive coordinator Pete Golding has made Perkins a key part of his game plan in the last two weeks against Alabama and LSU.
Defensive back AJ Brown may come as more of a surprise. He's played only 14 snaps on defense, according to Pro Football Focus data. But Brown has been key on special teams for the Rebels, lining up on the kick coverage and punt return teams.
Wideout Ayden Williams and offensive lineman Mana Taimani both played against Arkansas to burn their redshirts.
